Zackary Paul Smith

Zackary Paul “Zack” Smith was born March 12, 1986, in Ada, OK to the late Paul Stephen & Leana Janine (Boyd) Smith. He died Tuesday, June 6, 2023, in Davis, at the age of 37, with his son Sade and his dog Lucy by his side.

Zack was a lifetime resident of Murray County. His youth years were spent living with his grandparents, the late W.M. “Bunk” and Peggy Smith, in Dougherty, prior to residing in Sulphur and later Davis, where he graduated high school.

Zack accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized in Honey Creek four weeks prior to his death. He was very proud of his decision, and it brought him great peace. Although his final months of life were plagued with cancer, Zack maintained a brave attitude and never complained.

Survivors include one son, Sade Smith of Davis; sisters, Monica Smith Briggs, and Racheal Eades; brother, David Smith; maternal grandmother, Gloria Moore; as well as numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, Zack was preceded in death by a brother, Jeremy Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Joy Baptist Church.

Cremation was “entrusted to” HALE’S FUNERAL HOME, DAVIS.
