Services for William Wesley Anderson will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis, with Reverend Eddie Dye officiating.
Wesley was born September 12, 1936 in Earlsboro, OK to the late Noel & Annie (Rayfield) Anderson. He died Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Sulphur, at the age of 82.
Wesley grew up in Pottawatomie County. He was a 1954 graduate of Harjo High School. He and his family moved to Davis in 1980. Wesley spent 41 years working as a pumper in the oil field. Some of the companies he was employed with include Bradley Oil, MAPCO and CNG. Following his retirement in 1995, Wesley spent most of his time hunting and fishing. Most of his fishing was on the Blue River in the Tishomingo area. In his spare time, he enjoyed “socializing” with family and friends.
Survivors include sons, Russell Don Anderson of Shawnee and Alan Scott Anderson of Sulphur; two daughters, Melissa Bryan of Louisiana and Donna Marsh of Arkansas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as two brothers, Cecil Anderson and Billy Anderson.
In addition to his parents, Wesley was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Anderson; and two brothers, James Lawrence “Andy” Anderson and Noel Anderson, Jr.
