Wayne Morris

Wayne Morris was born May 18, 1940 in Lexington, OK to the late Albert and Dollie (Wheeler) Morris. He died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Duncan, at the age of 80.

Wayne and his family moved from Lexington to Sulphur in 1954. On August 30, 1960, he joined the United States Army and served until March 2, 1964. Following his time in the Army, Wayne spent several years working at the Kraft Cheese Plant. After the plant closed, he worked in the oilfield, retiring in the late 1990’s.

Wayne was an avid reader. He enjoyed traveling and working on his antique cars.

Survivors include one sister, Louise Wyche of Sulphur; two brothers, Albert Leroy Morris of Lexington and Robert Morris of Sulphur; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Wolf; two brothers, Larry Dean Morris and Roger Morris; as well as one nephew, Larry Dean Morris, Jr. and one niece Shana Dresser.
