Wanda Lee Brown was born February 13, 1937, in Sulphur. She passed on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, in Norman, at the age of 86.
Wanda grew up in Sulphur, graduating from Sulphur High School. She retired from the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Sulphur. In 2000, she moved to Norman. She was a homemaker who loved sewing, quilting, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Inez Pope, and brothers Jerry Pope and John Pope.
Survivors include her daughters, Dorinda Colbert and Jayne Brown of Norman; grandson, Matthew Britt of Ft. Collins, CO; granddaughter, Lauren Cox of Ft. Myers, FL; great-grandchildren, Farmer and Religion Britt and Olivia Cox; and her special family Betsy, Chris, Sadie, Sam, and Lucy Sieck of Norman. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Pope of Sulphur; her sisters, Dorothy Trett of Sulphur, Margaret Miller of Maysville, and Gloria Brooks of Dougherty; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM, on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Sulphur, with Pastor Bill Leveridge officiating. Viewing will be held Sunday, December 3rd, from 2:00 until 4:00PM.
