Wanda Jean "Jeannie" Malloy

Graveside funeral services for Wanda Jean “Jeannie” Malloy will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur, with Pastor Bryan Hetherington officiating.

Jeannie was born March 17, 1940 in Seminole, OK to the late Forrest Allen & Nova Edith (Little) Gallemore. She died Friday, October 23, 2020, in Davis, at the age of 80 years 7 months & 6 days. She and Bobby Ray Malloy were married on December 23, 1959. He preceded her in death in April, 2002.

Jeannie grew up in Sulphur. Following her 1958 graduation from Sulphur High School, she attended cosmetology school and spent several years working at Priscilla’s Cut & Curl. After leaving the salon, Jeannie worked at Sooner Foods in Sulphur for 10 years before returning to school, earning her LPN certification. She then spent 13 years working as an LPN at the Sulphur Veteran’s Center, retiring in 2002. She was a fantastic cook, enjoyed being outdoors and mowing her yard. Jeannie was a devoted member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Sulphur.

Survivors include one daughter, Bobbie (Malloy) Rose & husband Billy of Wynnewood; son-in-law, Steve Coberley; five grandchildren, Conner Lin, Casey Lin, Cameron Lin, Eric Coberley & wife Lindsey and Ryan Coberley & wife Kara; three great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Eleanor & Charlotte Coberley; one brother, Richard “Dick” Gallemore & wife Marti; niece Samantha Ann Calvert; and nephew, Jason Allen Gallemore.

In addition to her parents & husband, Jeannie was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Jean (Malloy) Coberley on October 9, 2007.
