Virginia Marie Glasgow

Virginia Marie Glasgow was born August 29, 1936, in Wynnewood View, OK, to the late Edgar Lewis and Nova Evolene (Rogers) Norman. She passed from this life on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Grand Prairie, TX, at the age of 88. Virginia and Robert Huston Glasgow were united in marriage on December 1, 1955, in Davis. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2015.

Growing up in this area, Virginia attended school at Katie and Woodland. After graduating from Woodland High School, Class of 1954, she attended business school in Tulsa where she obtained a certificate in Secretarial Education. After she and Robert married, Virginia worked a couple jobs in Davis, including working as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell.

In 1965, Virginia and her family moved to Grand Prairie, TX. She spent a few years working as a veterinary assistant prior to working for the LTV Aircraft Manufacturing Company, retiring in 2001.

Virginia was a crafty individual. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, and oil paintings. In younger years, she enjoyed horseback play day events, as well as gardening.

Survivors include her daughter, Tish Gibson & husband Kevin of Dallas, TX; son, Bob Glasgow of Venus, TX; four grandchildren, Samantha Robbins, Jeremy Heien & wife Amanda, Candice Fincher & husband Bobby, and Cody Glasgow; five great-grandchildren, Mikhayla Robbins, Clayton Robbins, Joe Heien, Cameron Fincher, and Kassidy Salinas; one great-great granddaughter, Astrid Robbins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by one sister, Juanita Warren and two brothers, Johnnie Norman and Buddy Norman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis. Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. will officiate the service.

Services are "entrusted to" Hale's Funeral Home of Davis.
