Vickey Annette Wiles

Funeral services for Vickey Annette (Barnes) Wiles will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the Midway Hill Baptist Church, with Pastors Willard McCartney, JR, and Bobby Reeves officiating. Interment will follow at the Dougherty Cemetery.

Vickey was born July 5, 1962, in Sulphur, to Robert Calvin “Bob” and Joyce Ann (Hillis) Barnes. She died Wednesday, December 22, 2021, in Sulphur, at the age of 59 years, 5 months, and 17 days. She and Bobby Joe “Bob” Wiles were united in marriage on November 11, 1989, in Davis. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2017.

As a lifelong resident of Davis, Vickey attended Davis Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1980. She worked as a legal secretary for the Law Office of Bill Chaffin for 26 years, prior to health issues forcing her to retire. Vickey was a member of the Midway Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Dusty Wiles of Davis; parents, Bob and Joyce Barnes of Davis; sister, Phyllis Etchienson & husband Michael of Norman; brother, Steven Barnes & wife Lisa of Davis; one niece, Katylen; three nephews, Danton, Christopher, and Brian; as well as two great-nieces, Lydia and Audrey, and two great-nephews, Aiden, and Elliott.

In addition to her husband, Vickey was preceded in death by one nephew, Chad Barnes.
