Tara was born December 8, 1980, in Ardmore, to Jimmy C. and Donna (Queen) Lancaster. She died Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in Sulphur, at the age of 43 years, 4 months and 23 days.
Tara was a lifelong resident of Sulphur, graduating from Sulphur High School, Class of 1999. She enjoyed being outdoors and loved working beside her dad, as she was the epitome of a "daddy's girl". She loved doing anything she could to help him, and gave her all on everything she did whether it was working on the ranch, rental properties, or mechanic work. She could do anything she put her mind to. Tara loved her family beyond measure and cherished spending quality time with each of them. Tara recently began pursuing a career in dog grooming. She found a lot of joy in grooming dogs and had a natural talent for it. Her greatest treasure in life was being a mother to her three children.
In her free time, she enjoyed riding four-wheelers, going snow skiing, fishing and riding horses. She was an avid fan of music, especially anything by Aerosmith.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Trinity McCall and Jaelyn Riddle; son, Jaxon Slaughter; parents, Jimmy & Donna Lancaster; brother, Jeremy Lancaster & wife Val; paternal grandmother, Fredia Gilbert; nephew, Jaimen Lancaster; aunt, Kelly Danley; uncles, Jerry Bob Lancaster & wife Sherry, David Meeks & wife Amy, Randy Farmer & wife Vickie, Victor Gilbert & wife Farida, and Darrin Gilbert & fiancé Michelle; and cousins, Jerry Lancaster, Jr & wife Amy, Jeff Meeks & wife Tanna, Aaron Farmer & wife Tiffany, Josh Farmer, Darcie Blackerby & husband Chris, Dakota Wilkinson, Lindsey Wilkinson, Stacie Brockhoff & husband Ross and Leland Gilbert; as well as numerous second cousins and many friends.
