Funeral services for Steven Chad Barnes, 22, will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, Sept 5, 2013 at the Midway Hill Baptist Church in Davis with Pastor Willard McCartney, JR and Rev Allen Dorries officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Chad was born Nov 6, 1990 in Ada to Michael Steven & Lisa Gail (Easley) Barnes. He died Friday, Aug 30, 2013 near Wynnewood, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.


Chad grew up in Davis, where he graduated from High School in 2009. Throughout his life, he always had a passion for fast cars and motorcycles. Chad spent most of his spare fine tuning his motorcycles and cars, enabling them to reach their maximum potential in power and speed. He was very fond of his dog Zula, raising her from a puppy. Chad spent several years working as a welder for the VE Company at Springer and most recently, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for DirtWorks.

Survivors include his parents, Steven & Lisa Barnes; daughter, Lydia Barnes; girlfriend, Sadie Priddy, all of Davis; one brother Danton Quinn Barnes & wife Rachel of Dallas Town, PA; paternal grandparents, Bob & Joyce Barnes of Davis; maternal grandmother, Ruby Jewel Easley of Davis; nephew, Jackson Elliott Barns; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
