Sheila Annette Hilliard-Goodman was born November 29, 1960, in Sulphur, OK, to Joe D. and Mary J. (Cowell) Hilliard. She died Sunday, April 28, 2024, in Sulphur, from injuries sustained during a tornado.
Sheila was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. After graduating from Sulphur High School, Class of 1979, she spent several years managing area restaurants and working in food service at the Goddard Youth Camp, prior to working at Tonya’s Daycare. At the time of her death, Sheila was employed with the Chickasaw Nation, working as a casino floor manager.
Sheila had an unwavering/unconditional love for her family and friends. She devoted much of her time babysitting the children within her family. As a loving mother, she supported her two children in all their endeavors. Her world truly revolved around her children, and as most grandparents, she was head over hills in love with her granddaughter, Kara.
Being the social butterfly she was, Sheila cherished spending time with her friends and family. She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed sharing that talent with others. She was an avid fan of OU Football.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Tyler Hilliard of Kingston, OK; daughter, Jordan Goodman & boyfriend Drake Wilks of Norman; granddaughter, Kara Hilliard; mother, Mary Hilliard of Sulphur; two sisters, Donna Parenti and Christy Hilliard, both of Sulphur; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sheila was preceded in death by her father Joe and her brother, Joe Don Hilliard.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Friday, May 3, 2024, at the First Free Will Baptist Church, in Sulphur, with Brother Thomas J. Thompson and Clayton Edgar officiating. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Sulphur.
