Sandra Jolene Day

Funeral services for Sandra Jolene (Roady) Day will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis, with Brother Thomas J. Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Sandra, known by many as “Sandy”, was born July 25, 1949 in Sulphur, to the late Sam and Dorothy Jo (Thomas) Roady. She died Wednesday, December 25, 2019 in Davis, at the age of 70 years and 5 months.

Sandra was a lifelong resident of Davis. During her adult life she spent several years working for the City of Davis at Turner Falls Park. Prior to her retirement in 2011, she spent 20 years working at the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center in Pauls Valley as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant. Sandra enjoyed fishing, camping and cooking for her family. She was an avid fan of Davis Wolves Football; and being a huge Baker Mayfield fan, she loved the Cleveland Browns as well.


Survivors include her devoted companion of 34 years, Jerry Elliott; three daughters, Samantha Lambeth & husband Doug, Tammie Williams & husband Don and Kim Kretzschmar & husband Erik; one son, Shawn Day; three step-daughters, Kristina Reid, Trisha Fox and Jillian Chapman; eight grandchildren, Ashley Stites & husband Richard, Kelly Lambeth, Jerra Schier & husband Derek, Cory Erwin & wife Presley, Cali Wood & husband Jacob, Madden Williams, Madison Christian and Amelia Kretzschmar; two brothers, Ricky Roady and Rodney Roady & wife Michelle; and one sister, LaToy Eldred.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Day; and one brother, Randy Roady.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Roady, Nathan Roady, Dylan Roady, Trae Roady, Kaden McCurtain, Landon McCurtain and Ricky “Pete” Ellett. Honorary bearer will be Heath Roady.
