Sadie Rean Williams

Sadie was born Oct 2, 1924 in Tishomingo to the late William Edward & Clemmie Daisy (Underwood) Payne. She died Monday, May 18, 2015 in Mustang, OK at the age of 90 years 7 months and 16 days. Sadie and Clay William “CW” Williams were married on Mar 8, 1947 in Reno, NV. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2005. Others preceding her in death include one son, Eddie Lee Williams; daughter, Donna Jean Mills; daughter in law, Paula Williams; brother, Bill Payne; as well as three sisters, Geraldine Hornburger, Clemmie “Chick” Gilliam and Alyne Gilbert.

Sadie grew up in the Tishomingo/Ravia area. After she and CW married they made their home in the Sulphur/Davis area. Throughout CW’s oilfield career they resided in Kermit, TX, prior to returning to Oklahoma in 1965. Sadie was a stay at home mother, caring for her children. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and cooking. Sadie loved to read her bible and was a faithful supporter of the Billy Graham Ministries. She also enjoyed basketball, often reminiscing of times playing in school. Sadie loved her family greatly and cherished being with them.

Survivors include daughter, Yvonna Farrell & David of Norman; four sons, Mike Williams & Marilyn of Sulphur, Tommy Williams & wife Marilyn of Mustang, Benny Williams of Davis and Lynn Williams & wife Vickie of Hinton; daughter-in-law, Donna Williams of Weatherford; son-in-law, Tommy Mills of Decatur, AR; as well as 22 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
