Roy Benjamin “RB” Tinker

Services for Roy Benjamine “RB” Tinker will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, Feb 6, 2013 at the Oak Grove Church with Rev Fred Bailey officiating.
“RB” was born May 11, 1940 in Phoenix, AZ to the late James Leroy & Florence Isabelle (Brown) Tinker. He died Sunday, Feb 3, 2013 in Sulphur, at the age of 72 years 8 months and 22 days. “RB” and Nadine E. Bray were married on May 25, 1973 in Borger, TX.
After graduating from high school in 1959, “RB” joined the US Army. He served during the Vietnam War as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne in 173rd group known as “the Herd.” After his military service, “RB” began a career in the banking industry. In 2002, he retired after 30 plus years in banking. “RB” had resided in the Sulphur area for the past ten years.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine; two daughters, Sonya Price of Sulphur and Melissa Bowen of Phoenix; three sons, Roy B. Tinker of Phoenix, Leland Tinker of Sulphur and Grady Tinker of Livingston, TX; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; as well as, one sister, Florence I. Adomalle of Phoenix.
“RB” was preceded in death by his identical twin, Donald Brown Tinker.
