Funeral services for Rosemary Ann Wadlow will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, Jan 2, 2013 at the Midway Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the McGee Cemetery in Stratford.

Rosemary was born Oct 23, 1945 in Lawton, OK to the late James & Rachel (Meely) Smith. She died Saturday, Dec 29, 2012 in Oklahoma City at the age of 67 years 2 months and 6 days. Rosemary and Delvin Wadlow were married on Jul 16, 2004 in Gainesville, TX.

Rosemary spent her working career as a licensed practical nurse in area medical facilities and nursing homes. She was very proud of her Choctaw heritage and worked hard to preserve and share her culture. She spent countless hours teaching the native language to those that were interested in learning it. In earlier years, Rosemary coached softball. In her spare time she enjoyed riding motorcycles with Delvin, sewing, cooking and dancing. She was a talented seamstress and made many Native American dresses. She was an avid Elvis fan.

Survivors include her husband Delvin; three daughters, Bobbie Sue Sledd & Sophia Thompson, both of Sulphur and Shelly Herrera of Oklahoma City; one son, Shawn Dodson & wife Jodi of Edmond; three step children, Debbie Dobbins, Reta Wadlow & Chris Wadlow; three sisters, Clara McClurken, Verna Loper & Esther Bucci; brother James Smith; as well as, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Mann, Larry Beam, Arvin Cox, C.W. Robbson, Gene Pittman & Terry Pittman. Honorary bearers are John David Parker, Nate Thompson and Josh Thompson.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Sonya & Sandra Dodson; two brothers, Roger Smith & Levester Buckley; grandson, Kenneth Doyle Parrott, Jr; as well as, the father of her children, Tommy J. Dodson.
