Funeral services for Rita Kay McGill will be held 2:00PM, Monday, Dec 19, 2016 at the First Free Will Baptist Church of Sulphur with Pastor Dick Terry officiating. Interment will follow at the Dolberg Cemetery in Roff.

Rita, better known as “Grandy” to her family, was born Feb 8, 1950 in Ft Smith, AR to the late Richard Arvid & Bille Jean (Frazier) Adams. She died Friday, Dec 16, 2016 in Sulphur, at the age of 66. Rita and Bennie Roy McGill were married on Dec 20, 1972 in Sulphur.

Rita grew up in the Greenwood, AR area prior to marrying and moving to Sulphur in 1972. Many words could be used to describe this great lady, but hardworking, devoted and “giver” tops the list. She spent her entire married life providing the very best for her family. Rita was always very supportive of her kids and grandkids, whatever activities they were involved in. She was very active in giving back to others within her family and community. She enjoyed playing softball and bowling every opportunity she had. Rita was a charter member of the Murray County Antique Tractor and Implement Club and worked extremely hard to promote the club.

Survivors include her husband Bennie; one daughter, Kerrie Stanley & husband Lanny of Pauls Valley; one son, Mitch McGill & wife Jill of Sulphur; four grandchildren, Logan & Ledger Stanley and Ben & Nick McGill; one brother, Rick Adams of Lufkin, TX; one sister, Judi Misale of Kirksville, MO; as well as numerous niece and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 5:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
