Raymond Lee “Ray” Turner
Memorial services for Raymond Lee “Ray” Turner will be held 2:00PM Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Sulphur.
Ray was born on Nov 8, 1943 in Wynnewood, OK to Everett Ray and Ruby Mae (Shirley) Turner. He died Sunday, Oct 15, 2017, in Midwest City, at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 7 days.
Ray and Linda Lee Webb met in 1982 and were married in Arkansas in February on Friday the 13th to make their own luck. He spent his working career as a self-employed truck driver and working in the oilfields. Ray and Linda owned R & L Trucking for 20 years hauling rock, sand, gravel and water. He enjoyed going to NASCAR races, working on old cars and riding his Harley motorcycle.
Ray is survived by his wife Linda; daughters, Robyn Lynn Nelson & husband Steve, Ramona Kay Schuler, Kimberly Rachelle Ballew, Shannon Lee “Scoot” Runyan and Cheryl Kay Le & husband Tony; son, Stephen Lee Turner; his mother, Ruby Turner; 16 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Glenda Holloway and Patsy Norman; brothers, James Turner, Gary Turner and Tommy Turner and 10 nieces & nephews.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be John Wood, Roy Gaden and Danny Pettit.
Ray was preceded in death by his father, Everett Ray Turner.
