Services for Randy Dennis Sluder will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Central Church Fellowship of Believers, 45 Shepherd of the Hills Rd, Sulphur, OK, with Brother Thomas J. Thompson officiating.

Randy was born October 26, 1956, in Detroit, MI, to Haven K. and Bettie Jean (Matthis) Sluder. He died on Monday, May 6, 2024, in Davis, at the age of 67 years, 7 months and 11 days. Randy married the love of his life, Ms. Freda Lee Barnes on October 7, 1977, in Trenton, MI. She preceded him in death on February 8, 2022.

Randy grew up in Trenton, graduating from Trenton High School, Class of 1974. Following high school, his work career began with the Chrysler Corporation, assembling engines. He and Freda soon moved to Edmond, OK, where they raised their three daughters, Sandi, Amy and Brandy. While residing in Edmond, Randy worked for the Ralston Purina Feed Company, prior to working for the Dayton Tire Manufacturing Co, where he would later retire. From Edmond, he and Freda moved to Wynnewood and then to Davis in 2013, to be closer to their children.

Randy was an avid collector of coins and clocks. He found great interest in astronomy and the history of WWII and the Civil War. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching television. Prior to Freda's death, he enjoyed spending time with her gardening and tending to their flower beds.

Survivors include his three daughters, Sandi Rivers of Oklahoma City, Amy of Denton, TX, and Brandy Koch and husband Daniel of Davis; his mother, Jean Sluder; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; as well as two brothers, Robin Sluder and Rick Sluder & wife Billie Jean, both of Oklahoma City.

In addition to his beloved wife Freda, Randy was preceded in death by his father; one grandson, Joshua Vaughn; and four great-grandchildren, Ezra, Abigail, Wyatt and Cade Zippro.

Services are "entrusted to" Hale's Funeral Home of Davis.
