Services for Ralph “Wayne” Flick will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Sulphur, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Dougherty Cemetery.

Wayne was born January 17, 1947 in Sulphur, OK to the late Ralph “Squib” and Lucinda Alice (Payne) Flick. He died Friday, June 8, 2018 in Sulphur, at the age of 69.

Wayne grew up in Dougherty, where he attended school, prior to graduating from Sulphur High School. On December 27, 1967, he joined the United State Army, stationed at Fort Poke, LA. While in the Army, Wayne received special training at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, as well as spent time in Germany. From Germany, due to his father being gravely ill, Wayne was transferred to Fort Sill, OK where he remained until he was Honorably Discharged on December 14, 1970.

Wayne loved to fish and hunt in his free time. He spent several years working for Halliburton Services in both Davis and Pauls Valley, prior to working in Brazil, Libya and South Africa for Halliburton. Following his retirement from Halliburton, Wayne owned and operated a small trucking company, where he drove cross country for several years, prior to becoming an Iron worker. In most recent years, Wayne farmed and raised cattle.

Survivors include Nancy Morgan, of the home; two step-sons, David Morgan of San Diego, CA and James Morgan of Sulphur; one son Michael Flick of Houston, TX; daughter, Amy Flick of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Brandon Flick of Oklahoma City, Sean Bounds of Oklahoma City, Jayden Flick of Wynnewood and Marleigh Flick of Edmond; two brothers, Ray Flick of Ratliff City and Dale Flick of Rosedale; two sisters, Lottie Cordell of Pauls Valley and Nita Roberts of Healdton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold Carter and Don Flick; and two sisters, Betty Jones and Alice Flick.
