Peggy Joyce Crawford

Funeral services for Peggy Joyce Crawford will be held 2:00PM, Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Peggy was born December 31, 1939, in San Angelo, TX, to the late Al and Lurline (Bell) Owens. She died on Sunday, February 13, 2022, in Davis, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 13 days. Peggy and Edgar Dale “Jack” Crawford were married in August of 1981. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2001.

Peggy grew up on a ranch near Rankin, TX. At an early age, she married and started a family, which included her three children, Kim, Curt, and Kent. She spent several years working in retail banking. After she and Jack married, together they owned and operated a convenience store in McAlester, OK.

Peggy was very much involved in the lives of her children. She cherished spending time with them and having all her family together. She had a great love for animals and was referred to as an “animal whisperer.” In her youth, she was an accomplished gymnast and cheerleader, as well as in horsemanship and marksmanship. In her spare time, Peggy enjoyed doing crafts, canvas oil paintings and traveling. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino.

Survivors include two children, Kim Larue Muse and Jeffrey Kent Priddy, both of Meeker, CO; two stepchildren, James Dale Crawford of Sulphur, and Jackie Leeann Rogers of Davis; two sisters, Vicki Barrett of Springer, OK and Jan Martinez of El Paso, TX; as well as fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and three nieces and three nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by one son, Curt Priddy; and two grandchildren, Chelsea Priddy and Timothy Trey Maloney.
