Paul Dean Summers

Paul Dean Summers was born June 21, 1942 in Sulphur, OK to the late Lonnie Charles and Cassie (Palmer) Summers. He died Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 78. Paul and the former Ms. MaLinda “Lucky” Curtis were married on August 1, 1969 in Ardmore.

Paul was a lifelong resident of Davis, graduating from Davis High School, Class of 1960. He spent 22 years working at the Arbuckle Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1996 as the Director of Purchasing. Paul was an avid fan of Davis Wolves Football, never missing a game until failing health limited his attendance. He was also a loyal fan of the OU Sooners.

In earlier years, Paul was very active with the Davis Kid’s Association, coaching his sons little league baseball teams. In his later years, he enjoyed walks around Davis, admiring his beloved hometown. Paul was always very proud to be from Davis, OK and just as proud to be a Davis Wolf.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, MaLinda “Lucky” Summers; daughter, Terri Rains & husband Steve of Davis; three sons, Lonnie Summers & wife Rhonda of Davis, Steven Summers & wife Dawn of Davis and Richard Summers & wife Stephanie of Depew, OK; six grandchildren, Dustin & wife Tasha, Tyler & wife Janae, Jessica, Dale, Chase & wife Brooke and Johnny; eight great-grandchildren, Kadince, Shaden, Layla, Katelyn, Arena, Huntley, Raygan and Adam; one sister, Charlene Nieto & husband Tito of California; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by four brothers, Donald Summers, Guy Summers, Carl Summers and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis with the Reverend Clay Shannon officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery.
