Patricia Louise Hill

Patricia Louise (Clogston) Hill was born July 29, 1932, in Severy, KS, to the late Charles E. and Lillian Irene (Ivey) Clogston. She passed from this life on Friday, January 10, 2025, in Sulphur, at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 12 days.

Patricia grew up in Severy, graduating from Severy High School, Class of 1950. She married the late Mike Burke in 1951. To this union were born two sons, Kelly Micheal, and Timothy Shane Burke. Early in her married life, Patricia worked on the family farm and devoted her time to raising her two sons. In the early 1970's, she began working as a secretary at Severy High School.

On October 22, 1977, she married John D. "Bud" Hill, making their home in Kingwood, TX. It was in Kingwood that she began working in the retail banking industry, later retiring as a branch manager. In 2010, she and Bud moved to Davis, OK to be closer to family.

Patricia was a truly kind, gentle lady. She was a devoted member of the Central Church of Believers, where she was continually active throughout the church. She was never one to sit idle. Patricia was always busy working on various types of puzzles and playing cards with her cousin, Shirley Marshall.

Patricia is survived by her two sons, Kelly Burke & wife Marilyn of Davis, and Tim Burke & wife Dana of Severy; five grandchildren, Jimi Bechtel & husband Glenn, Jacey Burke & wife Sarah, Kelly Ryan Burke & wife Allison, Dawn Spencer, and Taylor Thompson & husband Brandon; seven great-grandchildren, Graham & Brianne Bechtel, Ella Burke, Nolan & Mason Burke, Parker & Lucy Thompson, and Charlotte & Henry Pfister; her beloved cousin, Shirley Marshall, whom she thought of as a sister; as well as her loving church family of Central Church.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by the father of her children, Mike Burke; husband, Bud Hill; her brother, James Clogston, as well as one infant brother.

A service of remembrance will be held 2:00PM, Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Central Church of Believers, 45 Shepherd Hills Rd, Sulphur, OK. Brother Thomas J. Thompson will officiate the service.
