Patricia Faye “Pat” Thomason was born October 18, 1939, in Oklahoma City, to the late Oscar and Laura (Duncan) Woodard. She passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, at her home in Dougherty, at the age of 83. Pat and Donnie Thomason were united in marriage on January 18, 1964, in Oklahoma City.
Pat grew up in the Oklahoma City area, graduating from Jones High School, Class of 1958. She and her family moved to Sulphur in 1964, where she spent many years working as a cashier for Monjay’s IGA grocery store. In addition to Monjay’s, Pat also worked as a desk clerk for the Super 8 Motel, and as an independent Tupperware agent.
Pat was a very kindhearted, outgoing individual. Her friendly personality made it very easy to love her. In her spare time, Pat enjoyed crocheting, working word puzzles, scrapbooking, and beadwork. She was a huge fan of Chuck Norris and loved watching Texas Ranger. In younger years she greatly enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie; daughter, Vicki Geist; son, Cody Thomason; step-son, Ricky Benjamin; brother, Bobby “Woody” Woodard; sister, Delores Thompson; three stepsisters, Carolyn Nordyke, Theresa Conner, and Linda Kraker; stepbrother, Jerry Smith; four grandchildren, Brad Richardson, Jamie Thomason, Jordan Thomason, and Kylie Clay; as well as eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Pat was preceded by a daughter, Kristine Thomason.
Viewing was held Monday, March 27, 2023, at Hale’s Funeral Home. Private family services will be held at a later time.
Services are entrusted to Hale’s Funeral Home of Sulphur.
