Graveside services for Ossie Dale Billings will be held 10:00AM, Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Dolberg Cemetery in Roff, with Brother Bill Leveridge officiating.
Dale was born June 4, 1936 in the Oak Grove Community, North of Sulphur, to the late Carl & Lillie (Roberson) Billings. He died Friday, May 24, 2019 in Ardmore, at the age of 82 years 11 months and 20 days.
Dale grew up in the Oak Grove area, graduating from Sulphur High School. Following high school, he served in the United States Army. After returning from the Army, Dale spent many years owning and operating the Texaco Station on the east side of Sulphur. In earlier years, Dale enjoyed raising race horses and racing cars. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going on fishing excursions with local friends. Prior to failing health, Dale spent 20+ years working for the Dunn Lumber Co. in Sulphur, where he assisted with inventory control. He attended the Oak Grove Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Helen Baker and Judy Lemmings; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as his dear friends and caregivers, Tracy Dunn and Kelly Trussell.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by one sister, Faye Dixon; and three brothers, James, Cleo and Troy Billings.
