Odessa Mae (Coffman) Trout was born June 7, 1951, in Springer, OK, to the late Girald Edward & Hazel (Gordon) Coffman. She died Tuesday, December 19, 2023, in Bentonville, AR, at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 12 days. Odessa and Jimmy Keith Trout were married on June 23, 1971, in Dallas, TX. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2014.
Growing up, Odessa and her family resided in several communities throughout southern Oklahoma; however, she often referred to Mill Creek as home. After graduating from Greenville Tech in Greenville, South Carolina, where she earned an associate degree in business, Odessa became employed with the school and spent several years working as an administrative assistant, as well as an assistant to the instructors.
In her spare time, Odessa enjoyed gardening, bowling, cooking, and watching old western movies. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother, cherishing time spent with her family. Odessa loved family game nights which often included a good game of cards and other competitive games. She was an avid collector of cookbooks.
Survivors include three children, Ronnie Clary, Rhonda King, and Carol Trout; eight grandchildren, Maegan Hills, Austin Hills, Kyle Hills, Landon King, James Clary, Brandon Clary, Amy Mulleneaux & Allison Clary; eight great-grandchildren; as well as one sister, Sybil Brown.
In addition to her parents and husband, Odessa was preceded in death by five siblings, Christine Mattingly, Douglas Coffman, Warren Coffman, Barbara Jack, and Paul Coffman.
Funeral services will be held 1:00PM, Friday, December 22, 2023, at Hale’s Memorial Chapel, in Davis, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis.
