Norma Lea Evans Gibson expired on July 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by husband Neil Gibson and grandchildren Larryn Rayburn, Reed and Krysta Yount, sister Mary Lou Adams and parents Wayne and Mary Mustain Evans.
She was passionate about caring for the elderly and afflicted, spending 34 years as an LPN giving care in Artesian Home, Burford Manor, Calloway Nursing Home, and Stratford Nursing Home.
She is survived by her son Bruce and Judy Gibson and family: Blake, Dana, Ava, Aiden, Breanne, Bud, Kamryn, and Kreed. Daughter Terryl and Larry Rayburn and family: Haley and Virginia. Daughter Chris Yount Jones and Ray Jones and family: Grant, Bri, Thomas, Evie, Maddie, Abby, Devin, Eden, Callie, Shannon, and Bert. Son Cole Gibson and family: Lanissa, Nate, Trinity, Avery, Mikki, Grayson, Nate, Dezi, Caiden, Leo, Aubree, Brian, Zaylee, and Jensen. Brother Wayne and Betty Evans and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Norma will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Dougherty Baptist Church with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. A private family burial will take place at the Dougherty Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm on Tuesday evening, July 30th, at Hale's Funeral Home in Davis.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Norma's memory to the Dougherty Cemetery Association, PO Box 14, Dougherty, OK 73032; or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at dogood.t2t.org.
