Nona Mae Mann

Services for Nona Mae Mann will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Hale's Memorial Chapel, in Davis, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. The burial will be at the Dougherty Cemetery.

Nona was born April 6, 1942, in Dougherty, to the late Otis B. "Pete" and Alta Alice (Trett) Callis. She passed from this life on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in Purcell, OK, surrounded by her family, at the age of 82. Nona and Joel Wayne Mann were married on March 16, 1961, in Acuna, Mexico. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2022.

Nona grew up in Dougherty, attending Dougherty School through the ninth grade. She later graduated from Sulphur High School, Class of 1960. Throughout her life, Nona held numerous jobs including working at the Golden Rule daycare in Noble, Sequoyah Carpet Mills, and Stromberg Carlson Products. Her final years of working were spent in the cafeteria at the Goddard Youth Camp, which she really enjoyed.

Nona was a very crafty individual. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, making intricate porcelain dolls, making wall art out of used ropes and anything else she could imagine. She enjoyed collecting cooking jars, garage selling and reading. Nona was very active with the Dougherty Cemetery Association, as well as the Dougherty Community Improvement Association for many years. She was always willing to assist anywhere she was needed. One of her favorite things to help with was the annual Halloween carnival, which for many years she orchestrated the spook house.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn "Bunny" Lenhart & husband James of Noble; son, Joe Mann of Dougherty; three grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Bugher & husband Mark, Justin Lee Mann & wife Becca, and Isabella Rockford; two great-grandchildren, Riggins and River Bugher; one sister, Kay Finch; two sisters-in-law, Jolene Mann and Barbara Digby; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including her beloved niece, Cherly McKinley & husband Steve, whom she thought of as one of her own.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nona was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Jean Watkins, Peggy Colene Runyan and Wanda Sue Callis.

Services are "Entrusted To" HALE'S Funeral Home of Davis, OK.
