Graveside services for Naola Ione Turpin will be held 2:00, Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the Cache Cemetery in Cache, OK with Barry Taylor officiating.
Naola was born October 28, 1933 in Geary, OK to the late Herman and Geneva (Swimmer) Nusz. She died Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Davis, at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 9 days. Naola and Robert Franklin Turpin were married on October 11, 1958 in Clayton, NM. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2015.
Naola grew up in Geary, graduating from Geary High School in 1951. Prior to marriage and having children, she worked as a meat wrapper at an Oklahoma City grocery store. In 1977, she and Robert moved to Berryville, AR where they owned a Sonic Drive-In franchise. In 1982, they returned to Oklahoma to enjoy their retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and spending time on Facebook.
Survivors include her sons, Randy Turpin & wife Nancy of Ada; Kevin Young of Lone Grove; four grandchildren, Jacob Turpin, Jeremiah Turpin, Christopher Everhart and Ashley Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Mon’Shavia Everhart, Nolia Wilson-Bowser and Kyle Ryan Clark; as well as two brothers, Bud Nusz of Yukon and Herman Nusz, Jr of Amarillo.
In addition to her parents and husband, Naola was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Wilson-Fishgrab; and three brothers, Gene, Ferrell and Earld Nusz.
