Mary Lee Fletcher

Mary Lee Fletcher was born January 14, 1943, in Davis, to the late Venus Franklin and Opal Lucille (Tyner) Fullerton. She passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in Norman, at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 2 days. Mary Lee and Michael Dennis "Mike" Fletcher were married on September 4, 1962, in Davis. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2009.

Mary Lee, a lifelong resident of Davis, graduated from Davis High School, Class of 1961. As a daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt, she devoted her entire life to her beloved family. No matter what the circumstance or need, Mary Lee was there to "keep everything in order" or "fix it" for her family.

She was an exceptionally talented individual. Mary Lee could literally take what many would think of as junk or trash and make something beautiful out of it. Everything and everybody had a purpose in her eyes. She loved decorating her home and the community for holidays and special occasions.

Mary Lee was adventurous in many ways. She spent her life helping others. Whether it be helping her brother Jerry Don with a new restaurant, making brooms, or sewing for others, she was always willing to lend a helping hand. When her daughters were in school, Mary Lee was very active with the band boosters and any other group the girls were involved in. She always carried a purse that held enough items to repair a band instrument, sew up a torn uniform and possibly enough tools to get a stranded car back on the road. If you needed it, there was a 99% chance Mary Lee either had it in her purse or at her home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Stephanie Fletcher and Jenny Norton & husband David; grandson, Zane Norton; sister-in-law, Kaye Fullerton, all of Davis; Daniel Beatley & wife Natasha and Coby Beatley & wife Taylor, whom she loved as her own sons; nieces and nephews including, Paula Roden & husband Raymond, Vanessa Coots & husband Billy, Steve Fullerton & wife Debbie, Dale Fullerton & wife Andria, Rhonda Staggs & husband Kevin, and Jeremy Fullerton & wife Melissa; as well as numerous great nieces & nephews, and many cousins.

In addition to her parents, and husband Mike, Mary Lee was preceded in death by two daughters, Maurissa Fletcher and Michelle "Shelly" Fletcher; and her four brothers, Vandon Fullerton & wife Wandora, Dewayne Fullerton & wife Charlene, Jerry Don Fullerton and Gary Dale Fullerton.

Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Monday, June 17, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Davis, with Brother Frank Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews, Dale Fullerton, Steve Fullerton, Jeremy Fullerton, Raymond Roden, Kevin Staggs and Billy Coots.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 2-4:00PM, at the funeral home.
