Marsha Leann (Fox) Roady was born April 13, 1961, in Sulphur, OK, to the late Delford Ray & Virginia Lee (Fullerton) Fox. She died on Friday, December 6, 2024, in Norman, at the age of 63. She and Rodney B. Roady were married on August 22, 1979, in Davis. To this union were born two children, Nathan and Amanda.
Growing up in Davis, Marsha graduated from Davis High School, Class of 1979. While in high school, she was very active in the Davis High School Marching Band, earning first chair with her trumpet her senior year. She was very proud of this title and reminded everyone of her accomplishment until her death.
Marsha was a very devoted mother, at one time working four jobs to make sure her children had everything they needed, but more so wanted. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her family, especially her four grandchildren. She gave her all to see that they each found joy in life. She spent 25 years working as an administrative technician at the Sulphur Veterans Center, as well as worked at Jerry’s Drive In, the Donut Shop, and cleaned houses.
Marsha was a very crafty individual. She could literally take anything and make some type of competitive game out of it. She loved entertaining her children, nephews, nieces and their friends. Marsha was a kid at heart and made life fun for the kids she encountered. For many years, Marsha was faithfully active in the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Davis. She led the weekly Children’s Church, as well as taught Sunday school classes and vacation bible schools.
As an extremely selfless person, Marsha was always looking for ways to help others. As a prayer warrior she prayed continually for those in need. She was one that never met a stranger and always cared for those she came into contact with, no matter what walk of life they may be on.
As an avid fan of the Davis Wolves, she attended countless sporting events and anything the band was involved in. She was anxiously awaiting and prepared to watch the 2024 Class 2A-2 State Championship Football game on Saturday, December 7th to see the Davis Wolves claim that victory. Although the Lord called here home prior to the game, there is no doubt, she had the best view of the game and proudly cheered for her Wolves.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Amanda Roady; her son, Nathan Roady & wife Casie; her four grandchildren, Zoey Ogletree, Tracelynn Schandorff, Rhyen Roady and Nixon Roady; one brother, Wayne Fox & wife Glenda; beloved aunt, Pauline Gist; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends she thought of as family.
In addition to her parents, Marsha was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Fox.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Roady, JJ James, Jeremy Hoffman, Joe Tom Drake, Mike Davenport, Rush England, Steve Ratchford and Carl Ratchford.
