Services for Mamie Louise Eddy will be held 10:00AM, Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the Sandy Baptist Church, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr officiating.
Mamie was born March 13, 1946, in Lawton, OK. She died Sunday, January 2, 2022, in Ada, OK, at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 19 days. She and Charlie H. Eddy were married in July 1964. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1997.
Growing up, Mamie attended the Carter Seminary. Later she attended the MidAmerica Vo-Tech, where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She spent several years working and caring for patients in area nursing homes. In her spare time, Mamie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends and trying her luck at area casinos.
Survivors include four sons, Dewayne Eddy, Randy Eddy & wife Vanessa, Alden Eddy and Austin Eddy all of Sulphur; one daughter, LaDonna Eddy of Ardmore; thirteen grandchildren Charles Eddy, Patric Eddy, James Eddy, Charlie Eddy, Sierra Richards, Brittany Eddy, Lauren Eddy, Lindsay Eddy, Rainey Coberley, Preston Amos, Courtni Mann, Ami Rose, and Hope Eddy; thirty-six great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
In addition to her husband, Mamie was preceded in death by one son, Michael Eddy; her mother Lorene (McDonald) Burroughs; father, Jesse Welborn; brothers, John and Harold McDonald; and sisters, Adrian Clary, Gladys Cass and Patricia Shipworth.
