Funeral services for Madicyn Airah Mae Lewis will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Davis, with Pastor Tony Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.
Madicyn was born September 18, 2003, in Ardmore, OK to Johnathan Brian Keith Lewis and Devree Ann Shiplett. She died Friday, June 25, 2021, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 17 years, 9 months and 7 days, from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.
Madicyn made her home in Davis from birth until 2016 when she and her family moved to Morrison, OK. While in Davis she attended Davis Public Schools. After moving to Morrison, she was enrolled in EPIC/Meridian Tech, where she studied Health Careers. Madicyn was very active in tumbling and cheer. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her boyfriend, Elijah. Madicyn attended the Hilltop Country Church in Morrison and volunteered at the Stillwater Medical Center.
Madicyn was known to be a giver and helping others in need. Even in death, she continued her giving spirit by being an organ donor. By making this noble decision to be a donor, Madicyn has help save multiple lives.
Survivors include her mother, Devree Shiplett of Morrison; father, Brian Lewis of Davis; brother, Norman Lewis of Morrison; maternal grandmother, Judy Shiplett of Davis; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Morgan of Davis; three aunts, Daina Deaton & Michael of Davis, Lori Kekel & husband Todd of Canton, GA, and Krystal Powell; uncle, Brent Lewis of Davis; and ten cousins, Garret & Brylee Deaton, Alexandra & Adam Bearden, Katherine & Nikolas Kekel, Peyton & Dean Lewis, and Ryan & Kyle Stuckey.
Madicyn was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Norman Shiplett, and paternal grandfather, Melvin Lewis.
