Lucretia Faye Williams, better known as Faye, was born December 22, 1948, in Sulphur, to the late O.D. “Twink” and Eula Almeta (Williams) Talkington. She died Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in Mill Creek, at the age of 72. Faye and Raymond John Williams were married on February 13, 1973, in Gainesville, TX. Born to this marriage were four children, Lisa, Doug, Raymond, and Elizabeth.
Faye grew up in the Dickson, Mannsville and Sulphur areas, graduating from Dickson High School. She spent a few years working as a Nurse’s Assistant at the Tishomingo Hospital, prior to working as a cross country team truck driver with her husband, for PST Trucking, Inc. Prior to her retirement, Faye spent 16 years managing Pitmon’s Mill Creek convenient store.
Faye was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed riding horses, fishing, going for long walks, reading, and working puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond; daughter, Elizabeth Stover of Sulphur; two sons, Doug Williams & wife Stacy of Mill Creek and Raymond Williams & wife Loretta of Reagan; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Janie Bell & husband Bobby of Lone Grove; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Johnston: and four brothers, Quenten, Ronald, Charlie, and Frank Talkington.
