Logan Travis Grinstead

Funeral services for Logan Travis Grinstead will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Crossway Baptist Church in Sulphur, with the Reverends Wayne and Clayton Edgar officiating. Interment will follow at the East Hill Cemetery in Roff.

Logan Travis made his entrance on Friday, June 28, 1991 in Ada, OK. Since that day, this world has not been the same. Logan grew up in Sulphur, where he attended 1st-12th grades at Sulphur Public Schools. During these years, Logan excelled both academically and athletically, as he was truly blessed by God with a gift. Not only was Logan intelligent, he was a star athlete in many sports. Anything he wanted to do, or tried to do, he was the best. However, all that was secondary to Logan. He came to know and love God at a very young age and was a member of the Dolberg Missionary Baptist Church, where he was baptized. He loved church and was always excited to go and take his friends.

Logan loved his family dearly, especially his sister Megan. His love went beyond his family, as he loved everyone, sincerely and deeply. He was the most kind-hearted person with the biggest heart. You couldn’t help but smile when Logan was in the room. Although he was often a pain, it was impossible to stay mad at him, due to his infectious personality and adorable grin.

In his short life, he truly touched many. Logan struggled with a battle larger than he was; however, on Saturday, June 15, 2019, he won that battle. He is now with his Lord Christ, rejoicing among his family and friends that went before him. Logan will be missed, but just until we meet again.


Survivors include his mother, Tammy Grinstead; father, Keith Grinstead, both of Sulphur; one sister, Megan Grinstead of Edmond; maternal grandparents, Leroy & Sharon Fennell of Sulphur; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Logan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willard & Velva Grinstead.
