Linda Rae Nye

Funeral services for Linda Rae Nye will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Dougherty Cemetery.

Linda was born August 30, 1949, in Bethany, OK, to the late Clabe Dick & Anna Lou (Ross) Pugh. She passed from this life on Sunday, March 26, 2023, in Lawton, at the age of 73. Linda and Jimmy Ray Nye were united in marriage on August 14, 1970, in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2022.

Linda grew up in Spencer, OK. Throughout her life, she resided in several states including Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, and Kansas. She devoted her life to her family. She worked hard to provide the very best life she could for her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Chickasaw Trail Baptist Church.

Survivors include four children, Kenny Nye & wife Celli of Thackerville, Kevin Nye of Lawton, Tami Hawkins of Lawton, and Jimmy Nye, Jr & wife Annette of Amarillo, TX, seven grandchildren, Kenneth Nye, II, Mark Hernandez, Justin Nye, Tony Nye, Brian Nye, BJ Nye, and Morgan Nye; nine great-grandchildren, Mark Hernandez, Jr, Mason Hernandez, Kennedy Rae Hernandez, Lincoln Nye, Savannah Nye, Autumn Nye, Zanna Nye, and Ramsey Nye; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by three sisters, Bobbie Crawford, JoAn Pugh, and Donna Williams.
