Services for Lewis Wayne Richardson, better known as “Porkchop” by his Ardmore friends or “Porky” by his family, will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ardmore, with Elder Carl Thomas officiating.
Lewis was born November 17, 1952, in Oklahoma City, OK, to the late Lewis C. and Charlene (Williams) Richardson. He entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 23, 2022, in Ardmore, at the age of 69 years, 2 months and 6 days.
Lewis grew up and attended school in Oklahoma City. In 1981, he moved to Ardmore, where he began working as a mixer for Day Concrete, now known as Rustin Concrete. Lewis genuinely enjoyed his 41 years in the concrete business. He was known to be quite the dancer and loved pulling pranks on others. He had a passion for cooking, especially pinto beans. Lewis had a tender spot in his heart when it came to dogs. He always made sure his dogs, as well as any strays that came along, were fed, and cared for.
Those mourning his loss include his daughter, Tonya Richardson; son, Lewis Wayne Richardson, Jr, both of Denver, CO; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Shirley Thomas & husband Carl, Eva Louise Richardson, Tammy Richardson, Tara Richardson, Marilyn Makey & husband Thomas, Ronnie Richardson, and Frederick Richardson, all of Oklahoma City; as well three aunts and one uncle, also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large group of special friends.
In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Richardson and one great niece, Montyana Richardson.
