Funeral services for Letha LaVeta McCormick will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in Hale’s Memorial Chapel of Davis with her grandson, Marcus Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis
LaVeta was born on Feb 8, 1936 in Hennepin, OK to Boyd & Vera (Phillips) McCaskill. She died Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Victoria, TX, at the age of 76 years 4 months and 1 day.
LaVeta spent her career working as a home health nurse.
Survivors include three daughters, Sheryl Janssen & husband James of Hewitt, NJ, Jackie Gloor of Victoria and Teresa Hull & husband Larry, also of Victoria; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Meador, of Davis and Dorotha Jones of Odessa, TX; as well as one brother, John McCaskill of Oklahoma City.
Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Lisa Johnson in 2009; brothers, Jerry & Boyd McCaskill, Jr.; sister, Beth Wiggen; and son-n-law, Gary Gloor.
