Lester was born April 4, 1942 in Lawton, Oklahoma to the late E. Manvil and Martha Marie (Hilton) Beaver. He died Wednesday, August 26, 2020 in Sulphur, at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 24 days. Lester and the former Ms. Shirley Beth Thomas were married on August 23, 1999 in Bakersfield, CA. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2005.

Lester grew up in south Oklahoma City, graduating from U.S. Grant High School. After serving in the Navy, he spent 25 years working for Oklahoma City Electric prior to moving to Bakersfield. Following the death of his wife in 2005, Lester moved to Sulphur, making his home in the Arbuckle Lake area.

Lester was a very genuine man with a big heart. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending much time on his property, tending to his garden, fishing and tinkering. Lester loved spending time on the pier of his pond, simply relaxing and taking in God’s beauty. He was very much a friend to all, especially his neighbors, who he cherished spending time with.

Survivors include four children, David Beaver, Cheryl Beaver, Teresa Beaver and Shelly Beaver; step-children, Joanna Pierson, Jim Jones, Tim Jones, Bobby Allen, Emily Whisenhunt and Missy Jones; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Lester was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Beaver and one sister, Birty Lee Tucker.
