Graveside funeral services for Larry Don Hicks will be held 10:00AM, Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, with Pastor Eddie Dye officiating.

Larry was born December 10, 1955 in Mangum, OK to Donald Roy and Margaret Ann (Roland) Hicks. He died Thursday, July 23, 2020 in Sulphur at the age of 64 years, 7 months, and 13 days.

Larry spent the first ten years of his life living in Fitzhugh, prior to moving to Davis in 1968. After graduating from Davis High School in 1974, he spent ten years working for Dolese Brother’s at the Big Canyon quarry, prior to working at Halliburton in Davis. Once Halliburton closed the Davis plant, Larry began a career in truck driving. He spent a few years driving cross country before owning and operating his own truck, which was leased to Dolese.

In 1988, Larry became a baptized believer in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ when he joined the Central Baptist Church, south of Sulphur. He had a great love for animals, enjoyed fishing and was always tinkering with something to keep busy, during his retirement. Larry always cherished spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include one son, Chad Hicks of Davis; one daughter, Natalie Hicks of Sulphur; two step-children, Chassie Carter and Clinton Carter; his father, Donald Roy Hicks of Davis; two brothers, Kenneth Hicks & wife Tresara of Foster, OK and Kevin Hicks of Davis; as well as one niece, Kendra Prater & husband Billy; and two great-nephews, A.J. and Abel.

Larry was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Margaret in February, 2014.
