Katherine (Starks) Yardley

The world lost a vibrant soul on October 3, 2019. Katherine Yardley passed while engaging in one of the many outdoor activities she so enjoyed. Katherine was a loving mother to her son Paul and a caring daughter to her late mother, Kay Starr.

Katherine was a star to those that knew her. A passionate fan of music and the arts, her curious and adventurous nature kept her learning and experiencing the new at an age when most in this world slow down. To name just a few of her pursuits, in recent years she learned to windsurf and ride a motorcycle. She was an avid alpine skier for much of her life, and at one time held the world distance record in hang gliding, over one hundred miles in a single flight.

We will be honoring her memory with a graveside service at the Dougherty Cemetery on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at noon followed by a reception at the Artesian Hotel at 3 pm. Please join us in celebrating this amazing woman’s life.
