Justin Joe Whitehead

Justin Joe Whitehead was born February 5, 1981, in Oklahoma City, OK. Growing up in Davis, he graduated from Davis High School, Class of 1999. Following high school, he continued his education at Murray State College in Tishomingo. Justin spent several years working at the Michelin Tire Plant in Ardmore. He was immensely proud of his Kickapoo Heritage. Justin was a very artistic young man and enjoyed playing video games in his spare time. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Davis.

In 2005, Justin’s young, vibrant life was forever changed from an automobile accident that left him paralyzed. The struggles and pain from his injuries were more than most could ever bare. However, Justin kept a positive attitude and tried hard to improve each day. After almost 17 years, his body could simply go no more. On Saturday, February 26, 2022, God reached down and removed Justin from all his earthly struggles and took him home to Glory. He is now experiencing a perfect body in the most perfect place, seeing loved ones that had passed on before him, and most importantly, WALKING on streets of gold with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his loving mother, Becky Whitehead of Davis; sister, Jennifer Richardson & husband George of Florida; three nieces whom he loves referred to as “his girls,” Morgan Lanham, Hannah White, and Emalei Henry; one great-niece, Alice Joelean Taylor; and two great-nephews, Sage Henry and Jasper Taylor.

Justin was preceded in death by his father, Joe “Hook” Whitehead on January 31, 2022; his maternal grandparents, Alvin and Joann Brumley; and his paternal grandparents, Berlin and Larado Whitehead.

Funeral services for Justin will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, with Pastor Billy Staggs officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, March 2nd, from 5-7PM at the funeral home.
