Juanita Easter

Juanita was born on Dec 6, 1917 in Madill, OK to the late Altus W. and Annie Mae (McGee) Broaddrick. She died Wednesday, Mar 7, 2012 in Sulphur, at the age of 94 years 3 months and 1 day. Juanita & Maurice L. Easter were married on Sept 4, 1954 in McAlester, OK. He preceded her in death on Aug 12, 1999. Others preceding her in death include her parents; sister, Ina Harris; as well as, three brothers, A.W. “Bill”, Hugh & Charles “Boo” Broaddrick.
After graduating from Sulphur High School in 1938, Juanita moved to Davis where she worked as a receptionist for Dr. Ralph Connel, as well as for the Santa Fe Rail Road as telegrapher. In 1946, she went work for Southwestern Bell Telephone as an operator and retired in 1976 after 30 years of service. Juanita was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Davis, the National A.A.R.P and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Survivors include step-son, Mike Easter of San Diego, CA; two nieces, Vicki & Jana Braoddrick; nephew, Jim Harris & wife Deborah; sister-in-law, Pauline Broaddrick of Davis; as well as, her special friend and neighbor, Donna Payne.
