Funeral services for Johnny Lynn “John” Park were held 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 9, 2012, in the Dougherty Cemetery with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating.

John was born Dec 3, 1955 in Albuquerque, NM to Johnny F. & Mildred (Taylor) Park. He died Friday, July 06, 2012 at his home in Dougherty at the age of 56 years 7 months and 3 days. John and Barbara Jean Brooks were married on Feb 12, 1994 in Dougherty.

John spent most of his career working as a self-employed contractor in residential building construction. Most recently he was employed with Hanover Compressor Co of Davis. John enjoyed cooking out with his family, hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Barbara; two sons, Buddy Ray & Larry Joe Luker; four grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Chelbi and Katelyn, all of Dougherty; brother, Dan Park; as well as his mother & father-in-law; Ray & Gloria Brooks, also of Dougherty.

John was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Joseph Luker and brother Mike Park.
