John Stephen Palesano

John Stephe Palesano was born on February 7, 1934, in Ft. Cobb, OK, to the late John and Beaulah (Cottrell) Palesano. He died on Thursday, February 8, 2024, in Norman, OK, at the age of 90 years and 1 day.

John attended Wynnewood grade school before moving to Davis, OK in 1947, where he graduated high school in 1952. After graduating, he enlisted in the United State Army and was stationed in Ft. Lewis Washington. After being discharged in May of 1955, he returned to Davis. Not finding work in Davis, John moved to Farmington, NM in August 1957 where he worked as a car salesman for 40 years.

In 1997, John returned to Davis, and married the love of his life, Jimmie Lou Green. Together they did a lot of traveling and enjoyed life. He enjoyed playing dominos at the Davis Senior Center. John won first place in the 2019 Murray County Domino Tournament. John became a born-again Christian on November 20, 2023.

John is survived by his wife Jimmie, of the home; one stepdaughter, Darla Morris and step-granddaughter, Caitlin Morris; two nieces, Teresa Anderson and husband Rick of California and Jackie Hedrick of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Belle Hedrick and brother-in-law, Bill Hedrick.

A private burial at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis, will take place in the near future.
