Funeral services for Jimmy Jerald James will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, Oct 18, 2013 at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis with Rev. Ann Gaines Ali officiating. Interment will follow at the James Family Cemetery, south of Davis.

Jimmy was born on Oct 6, 1952 in Sulphur, to the late Alfred and Juanita (Williams) James. He died Saturday, Oct 5, 2013 in Kansas City, MO, at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 29 days.

Jimmy was a 1970 graduate of Davis High School. He spent much of his working career as machinist. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, playing pool and bowling.

Survivors include three daughters, Stacy Cochran of Oklahoma City, Schameca Carr of Sulphur and Taneisha James of Tulsa; one son, Jatika Jamar “J.J.” James of Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby L. Stevenson of Hennepin and May Sheryl Williams of Washington; one brother Alfred James, Jr of Oklahoma City; as well as his first wife, Linda Lewis James and her daughter, Rachel Lewis.

Along with his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by two sons, Latrell Shirley & Baby boy Carr; and one sister, Betty D Wilson.

Serving as casket bearers will be Donnie Stevenson, Ricky Stevenson, Travis Phipps, Reginald Phipps, Patrick Stevenson and Rick Stevenson, Jr.
