Jewell was born April 5, 1925 in Fayetteville, TN to the late Will & Cora E. (Smith) McGee. She died Friday, Oct 12, 2012 in Sulphur, at the age of 87 years 6 months and 7 days. Jewell and Earl Gregory were married on Sept 6, 1941 in Garvin County, OK. He preceded her in death in 1977. Others preceding her in death include one son, Larry Gregory; one daughter, Ruby Daugherty; 2 brothers, Harold and William McGee; sister, Helen McGee; great-granddaughter, Chancey Renee Daugherty; and three great-grandsons, Brandon Simmons, Dillon & Alex Daugherty.

Jewell spent her life as a homemaker caring for her family. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include daughter, Nancy Chandler of Davis; son, Harold Gregory & wife Kathy of Wynnewood; brother, Wayne McGee & wife Connie of Davis; sister, Alice Thorp & husband Archie of Carrolton, TX; as well as nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
