Jeanie Sue Clelland

Jeanie was born May 12, 1941 in Sulphur to the late Charles & Ettner Mae (Duncan) Saunders. She died Saturday, Feb 20, 2016 in Ardmore at the 74. Jeanie and the late Arvin David Clelland were married on Jun 5, 1982 in Junction City, KS. He preceded her in death on Oct 11, 1998.

Jeanie grew up in Dougherty where she graduated high school in 1958. She spent 30+ years working as a Nurse’s Aide in various healthcare facilities. Throughout her marriage with Arvin, due to his military travels, Jeanie made her home is several places, with Germany being her most favorite. She enjoyed being with her family, fishing and an occasional trip to the casino.

Survivors include one daughter, Darla Swartzbaugh & husband Kyle of Ardmore; one son, Wesley McBride & wife Jane of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren, Chris Clelland, Misti Agnew and Amy McBride; one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Rose Clelland; four sisters, Mary White of Arkansas, Lona Edwards of Dougherty, Linda Spears of Lexington, OK and Mildred Allen of Sulphur.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jeanie was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene West, Pasty Garland and Betty Wilson; as well as five brothers, Bo, Orval, Creed, Harvey & John Saunders.
