Jayne Mollie Fox made her grand entrance into this life on January 9, 1975, in Holdenville, OK. Born to her proud parents, Jack Dennis and Judith Karen (Leach) Fox, and sister Laura, Jayna instantly brought immense joy and happiness to her family. She passed, unexpectedly, on Sunday, February 2, 2025, in Tulsa, at the of 50 years and 24 days.
Jayna moved to Davis at the age of seven months old, when her parents purchased what would become Fox Funeral Home. Growing up in Davis, Jayna attended Davis Public School Systems, graduating with the Class of 1993. While in high school, Jayna was active in cheerleading, serving as the Wolf mascot her sophomore year, as well as very active in the Davis FFA, where she was known for showing Brahma cattle. During her teens, she spent each summer working at the Arbuckle Wilderness.
After high school, Jayna attended the University of Oklahoma, prior to attending Oklahoma State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Her thirty-year career in this industry led her to manage and direct many hotels and resorts owned by the Marriott, Omni, and Wyndam Corporations. At the time of her death, Jayna was working for Avantic Lodging Enterprises. Throughout her career, she lived and managed hotels in numerous places including Oklahoma City, Dallas, Amelia Island, FL, Galveston, TX and Richmond, VA.
Jayna, known for her long red hair and her big mischievous smile, was a highly spirited individual. She loved having fun with family and friends, and often created the laughter needed for everyone around to have an enjoyable time. She loved going on shopping trips with her mother and sister. Those trips were usually spontaneous and had no time limits or exact destinations. Like everyone else in her family, Jayna had a soft spot in her heart for animals, especially dogs. There was never a "stray" dog around, because Jayna would give it the home they were needing.
Survivors include her mother, Judy Fox of Sulphur; her sister, Laura Fox of Paris, TX; and her beloved dog, "Finn".
Jayna was preceded in death by her father, Jack D. Fox on February 1, 2009; as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Per Jayna's request, she was laid to rest privately, at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis, next to her father.
