Janice Sue Sparks

Janice Sue Sparks was born January 8, 1945, in Arkansas City, KS, to the late to the Mitchell Earl and Marie (Underwood) Bruce. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, October 30, 2023, at her home in Mustang, OK, with family by her side.

Janice grew up in Arkansas City, prior to moving to Davis, where she spent several years owning and operating restaurants and bars. Janice loved to cook and host gatherings for her family and friends.

Janice is survived by her three children; son, Terry Sparks & wife Paula Sparks of Moore, OK, daughter, Melissa Compton & husband Bruce of Oklahoma City, and daughter, Machell Clayton & husband Gene, also of Oklahoma City; as well as six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Sexton and Cheryl Baughman; three brothers, Donald, Gary and Ronnie Bruce; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by five siblings, Bobby Bruce, Mervin Bruce, Shirley Bright, Rhonda Brumback, and Marilyn Neurburg.

Funeral services will be held 1:00PM, Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Hale’s Memorial Chapel, in Davis, with Pastor Randy Sholund officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis.

Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday morning from 10:00AM until 11:00 AM.
