James Philip "Phil" Drennan

James Philip “Phil” Drennan was born October 18, 1958 in Wynnewood, OK to the late Clifford L. “Sonny” and Winnie Lucille “Susie” (Wells) Drennan. He died Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in Edmond, at the age of 61 years, 6 months and 10 days.

Phil grew up in Davis attending Woodland School through the fourth grade and then Davis Public Schools until his senior year, when he moved to the Kingston area. Following his 1976 graduation from Kingston High School, he attended East Central University, where he was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity. After college, Phil spent the next 30 years working in the oil field industry as a mud logger. In his free time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing Snooker and spending time with his friends.

Survivors include his daughter, Meredith Blalock of Velma; son, Scott Drennan of Davis; three grandchildren, Halle Blalock, Madelyn Blalock and Paisley Womack; sister, Marilyn Cole & husband Darrel of Sulphur; brother, Wayne Drennan of Davis; mother of his children, Tracy Cook & husband Charles of Davis; as well as one niece, Lyndsi Drennan; and four nephews, Blake Cole, Brett Cole, Stacy Drennan and Colton Drennan.

In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by one nephew, Cody Drennan.
