James was born Nov. 20, 1932 in Mill Creek to the late Bill & Bertha (Self) McGaha. He died Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Davis, at the age of 82 years 5 months and 5 days.
James grew up in the Mill Creek/Sulphur area. He served in the United State Army during the Korean Conflict. James spent 25+ years working as an X-Ray Technician at the Arbuckle Memorial Hospital. Throughout his life he enjoyed breaking/training horses, building saddles and tooling leather. In his leisure time, James also enjoyed playing cards and dominos. He was a very devoted grandfather. No matter what activities his grandchildren were in, James McGaha was right there supporting and cheering his grandkids on.
Survivors two sons, Scott McGaha and Kurt McGaha & wife Karnesa of Davis; mother of his sons, Norma McGaha; six grandchildren, Manda McGaha, Kevin McGaha, Kaycee Higgins & husband Huston, Kolton McGaha, Chandler McGaha & Kiyah McGaha; brother, O.D McGaha; sister, Jeannie Kuykendal; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Wertz & Jessie Mae Cain and three brothers Joe McGaha, Arnold “Mule” McGaha & Andrew McGaha.
